Twenty years in software quality, from principal engineer to director. I have built quality teams from nothing, hired and grown engineers into senior and leadership roles, and run the roadmaps and release decisions around the code. Today I am the sole quality engineer at a workforce-management SaaS, owning test strategy, automation and release quality gates across web, iOS and Android.

Project test lead, Scrum Master and project manager on Comcast's rotation, incident manager on Genesys's rotation, a 12-month automation roadmap with its estimates, and the go/no-go on releases, rollbacks included.

  1. 2026 – now

    Senior QA Automation Engineer · OnTheClock

    Sole quality engineer for a workforce-management SaaS. Built the test library and automation for web, iOS and Android, run release go/no-go, and own the quality engineering strategy, including deployment frequency and change failure rate.

  2. 2025 – 2026

    Lead Test Automation Architect · CGI Federal and HealthEdge

    Contract engagements. Architected a Python backend automation framework from scratch for a Medicare prescription drug benefit application for CMS, and lifted functional API coverage by 60%. Ran production transaction testing of healthcare claims adjudication.

  3. 2022 – 2025

    Senior QA Manager / Lead Test Automation Engineer · Genesys

    Built and led a quality team of six, with mentorship tracks and career plans that led to promotions. Designed the data-driven pytest framework that took functional coverage from 25% to 80%.

  4. 2021 – 2022

    Senior Staff QA Engineer / Test Automation Architect · NextGen Healthcare

    Project test lead for a telehealth product. Cut escaped defects by 50% and raised coverage by 75%, with a Java, Cucumber and RestAssured framework on AWS environments built with Terraform.

    Test Automation Lead / QA Architect · American Family Insurance

    Led 15 onshore and offshore automation engineers. Designed a Python BDD API framework and wired it into GitLab CI.

    Director of Engineering Enablement · Sidecar

    Built quality engineering from the ground up and was promoted from lead engineer to director in three years. Unified UI and backend testing of an event-driven AdTech platform on AWS and Kubernetes.

  7. 2006 – 2017

    Principal QA Engineer to Test Automation Lead · Comcast

    Nearly eleven years. Automated REST services behind Xfinity MyAccount and Xfinity Share, built API load tests with Locust, and stood up CI/CD with TeamCity, Jenkins and Sonar.
